About Jo Baldwin, Professional Mobile Ladies Hairdressing, Peterborough
I have been in the hairdressing industry since 1987, when I started my career working on saturdays at a salon called Talking Heads in Middlesex. I left school in 1989 and took a modern apprenticeship with Total Look in Hertfordshire, who sent me to West Herts College in Watford, where I did a two year NVQ qualification in Hairdressing and a Goldwell perming and colouring diploma, both being passed with distinction.
I left Total Look in 1992 to start my own business and continued it very successfully for 6 years before I had my first child. I moved to Peterborough in 2001 and began work in a salon called AG's and then went on to work for Heaven 'n' Hair before having my second child.
In 2004 I attended Peterborough College to do another short course in fashion skills in hairdressing which I also passed. In 2006 I did a couple of short courses in creative colouring, taken by one of Matrix's design team.
Since 2015 I have added new skills and techniques which my existing customers love, and for the future I intend to add hair extensions to my portfolio.
I still want to achieve so much more and am a great believer in the fact you can never stop learning and I am always looking out for new courses to further my skills.
